In this paper we consider a system of three coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equations, which comes from nonlinear optics and Bose-Einstein condensates. We deal with two types: systems with periodic potentials, and systems with trapping potentials. Using the generalized Nehari manifold and delicate energy estimates, we establish the existence of a positive ground state for either type provided that the interacting potentials are suitably small.

刘兆理,首都师范大学教授、博士生导师,国家杰出青年基金获得者、教育部长江学者特聘教授及国务院政府津贴专家。曾获教育部自然科学二等奖,山东省自然科学二等奖和科技进步一等奖。主要从事非线性分析及应用研究,在椭圆方程和变分法等多个领域做出了重要贡献,于Adv. Math., CMP, CPDE,JFA,Math. Zeit.,SIMA, AIHP等著名期刊发表论文80余篇,并担任Top. Meth. Nonlinear Anal.和Anal. Theory Appl.等多个国际SCI杂志的编委。
